Catching Up

Well, I'm going to try and catch up with my blog correspondences, but there's so much to write about and I spend too much time during the work day on a computer to want and spend more time on it at home. Plus, I've only written about 6 of the 40 Christmas Cards that I need to get in the mail by the end of the week! Plus, I still have Christmas shopping to do. Plus, I still don't have a Christmas Tree!!! Can you believe it!? I can't. I don't know how this happened. I was first going to buy a real tree and ask Patrick to help me pick it out. But then I got embarrassed by this idea and decided a fake tree was more appropriate in Dallas. (you know, they ship pine trees in from out of state - Colorado most likely and they were probably chopped down before Thanksgiving, which means they are pretty dried out by the time you get them home and....well, you get the idea). So I decided I need a fake tree. But I'm not strong enough to lift one from WalMart to my car and then from my car to my apartment. AND I've been pretty busy on my weekends and haven't had a lot of time to go shopping and my folks haven't had a lot of time to go shopping with me to help me. Especially when my mom spent an entire Saturday car shopping with me.
Yes, I am looking at new cars. Not because I don't like the one I have. Not because my car is no longer drivable, but because my warranty ends this month and I think it would be cheaper to buy a new car and trade in the Jetta than to continue taking the Jetta in to the shop for reapers on the AC and brakes every other month as the trend has been.
My favorite car so far that I am favoring...the MUSTANG. I love how it drives and how it looks. My three "must haves" in a new car:
1. Must be reliable. I am not trading in a car that I love for another I have to take into the shop all the time.
2. Must be safe.
3. Must be cute or really good looking.

I still haven't downloaded my pictures to the internet yet, so you will all have to wait for pictures from Thanksgiving. I'm taking a week off work between Christmas and the New Year so I'll have some computer time then. I will also complete my CPA requirements in that time and set up my Quicken Budget....again. I also hope to get my new car that week. It's going to be a very busy week. I've also been invited to spend New Years Eve in New Orleans....but I don't think I'm going to do that one....

Patrick
What can I say?! We had our second and third date last weekend. He came in town again to pick up his dogs, and again left without them. He's not able to sign his new lease yet so he can't keep his dogs yet.
The dates went very well indeed! I'll spare you the details here (if you want the details...let me know and I'll either post another blog or email them to you). The problem is the distance and the phone. I really don't think I can carry on a long distance relationship with him. He sort of bores me on the phone. But I do really like him, especially in person. As my friend Michelle said "It sounds like you may want to keep this one". I have to agree with her there. It's just such a tough messy ordeal. Gosh! I mean, he really does like me "A Lot". And I really do like him. But right now, his first priority should not be rushing home to Dallas to see ME! Timing can be so difficult sometimes.
Plus, he doesn't dance....really, at all. How can I date someone who doesn't dance...at all?!
I mean, and flying out to New Orleans just to spend New Year's with a boy that doesn't dance seems like a pretty big commitment that I'm not sure I'm ready to make. I mean, I would have to spend money!!!! We'll see, we'll see.....
Time to get back to Christmas Cards,
Love to you all........
