Red

Saturday morning, I awoke early and did something I've wanted to do for about 2 or so years, but I've been too scared to go through with it. I went to a new hair stylist who had been highly recommended as an expert colorist and I had my hair dyed. I brought a picture of a friend from work who has very light strawberry blond hair and I let her use her best judgment. I really do like it. It did not turn out how I had expected at all, but I like it. I'd say it looks a lot more like golden blond than strawberry blond, but it's good. It looks very natural. It's not really darker than my natural color but instead, richer and colorful. I wish I could show you all but.....wait, I think I can! I'll just spend some time over the next few days and figure out how to download pictures from my new camera (!) to the web and to my blog!
Yes, I celebrated my unbirthday today. Today is my sister's 29th birthday and we had a joint birthday celebration today. My dad had decided a while ago when I told him about the camera I wanted that he was going to get if for me for my birthday. Since he loves gadgets, he was very excited to buy me this present. I've very excited to have it, however it will take me a while to figure it all out. It sure is fun!
I also received three CDs from my sister, brother-in-law, and their dog - Joss Stone The Soul Sessions, The Very Best of Ray Charles, and The Best of Dean Martin - and three books from my Grandmother - Shopaholic takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties the Knot, and Shopaholic & Sister.
My Birthday is actually November 8th, but I don't mind celebrating early. Besides, I'll be getting a lot of phone calls on my actual birthday and catching up with great friends is the best gift of all!

This weekend I saw two movies: Elizabethtown and Shopgirl. I liked Elizabethtown (although it hit a little to close to home in some areas - I may explain this later, I may not). I rally did not like Shopgirl - I laughed some, but I was really grossed-out a lot. Oh well, I love that I saw 2 movies this weekend!

An update on the dating scene:
Patrick and I are doing very well. He's called me 3 times since our date a week ago (Sunday night to let me know he got home safely, Wednesday, and Saturday night). I really like him. He really likes me. I told him I was dying my hair red. He said he was upset only because he wasn't going to get to see it right away. I promised to send him a picture with my new camera as soon as I figured it all out. As it turns out, he won't be able to return to Dallas until Christmas, but he will be home for the entire week between Christmas and New Years and I already reserved that week as Vacation time from work months ago. We will definitely be seeing a lot of each other that week if either of us have anything to say about it. :) :) I'm very pleased with the way things are progressing. Very much at my speed. Also, he seems to grasp the idea that I would much prefer him pursuing me and calling me than vice versa. And he is doing a GREAT job at this. I like this boy!
OK, I must go watch my new favorite show Grey's Anatomy !
Much Love TO ALL
