I'm really doing well. Life just seems to be in order for me right now. Work is going well, a few late nights, but that's the kind of work I'm in. I just got my annual raise and, even though it's the same as everyone else at my level and it's not as great as some were saying it would be, it's actually slightly better than I had predicted, and my expenses haven't changed much at all, so that's really good news (saving away for a house so I can be as cool as Polly and Susan!).
I have a date Saturday with Patrick. We are going to Six Flags Fright Fest (per my request).
My parents are starting their last week in China, I can't wait to see their pictures! I was supposed to take Pepsi to the "Pet Lodge" on Saturday but when I got there around 3:50 PM, I realized they closed at 3:00, so Pepsi visited my apartment for the first time ever and we had a slumber party (although, my apartment doesn't allow pets, but I'm sure they don't care if it's only one night?). I had to take her on a few walks and she LOVED the walking trails around me. It was quite cool to have her around. TWO cute guys said hello to me and to Pepsi while I was taking her on a walk. They never stop to say hi when I'm by myself!
It got cold here for the first time Friday night. We have had incessant heat in the 90s since June...Seriously. Last week we had 2 or 3 days in the UPPER 90s. Ridiculous if you asked me. Friday night, after our big KPMG yearly party, while waiting for an hour at the front of a couple 100 people line for valet(I don't even want to know how long it took the people in the back of the line to get their cars!), we noticed that Fall had dropped on Dallas. It was windy and in the low 50s and we were all freezing! Today it was incredibly windy and gray, on-and-off rain , with the high around oh, I don't know, no higher than 50 and a low tonight around 37 degrees!!! That's Dallas for you, 98 one day, 50 the next, and 89 the following. Tonight, I had my first fire in my fire place...so....I only used a starter log, but hey, I finally, after 14 months of living here, used my fireplace!
So, life is good.
Much Love to you all!!!!
