Stress
I'd almost forgotten what stress felt like. This past week...I rediscovered that feeling. I've been assigned the Single Audit for the City of Carrollton. A single audit is a controls and compliance audit of a federally funded grant. It's a lot of work and only one person is assigned to it, and you only get two weeks to complete it. It's on of the most confusing, frustrating, and stressful things I've encountered in the world of accounting, outside the CPA exam itself! I forgot that I get stress knots in my back. I forgot that I am not as productive when I get stressed out. Caffeine seems to help me. So I will be drinking a lot of tea this week, thankfully I found a great java-tea place just around the corner from the Carrollton City Hall...and they serve Boba tea!!! Yeay Boba Tea.
I Worked ALL DAY SATURDAY, luckily all from the comfort of my own apartment in my PJs most of the day, I kept my door open to get some fresh air, I took a 15 minute walk, I took an hour break to answer Patrick's call :) , I ordered Avocado Enchiladas from Blue Mesa Grill, I watched my birthday present from Susan "Fever Pitch" (LOVED IT) while I ate my dinner, and read through the Bible story I had to teach Sunday morning. What a fun day. I turned out to be not too bad. I got a lot done, and I was totally cheered-up by the predictable phone call from Patrick. I can totally predict when he'll call. Always around 6 PM. About ever 3 to 4 days. I kind of like it that way. He may be back in Dallas before Christmas. I look forward to it. I like how things are going between us. It's quite nice. hehehe.
So, just one more week of tough work and then off to Wilmington North Carolina for and Edwards family reunion. Then, the night I get back, a slumber party with SUSAN!!!!!!! Can't wait.
Have a great week friend.
Love to all....
